Algarve-Gids is a non-commercial website with the goal to provide touristic information about the Algarve. Started in 2001 as a hobby project which soon began more serious because of the high number of visitors.

Not just the site grew, also the costs. Nobely intented to keep the site free of advertisements, now we have a few sponsors/advertisers to keep the site up and make it possible to increase, like for instance this Portugal Tourist Directory.

This directory is meant for both private as businesses to advertise/promote for instance their holiday homes, restaurant, bar or car rental services. This is not an overall business directory, listings should be of interest for tourists only.
